Brunox® Epoxy

BRUNOX® Epoxy is het gepatenteerde roestomvormer-systeem op epoxyharsbasis. De Epoxy breekt het roestmolecuul af en vervangt het zuurstofmolecuul. BRUNOX® Epoxy penetreert 7 tot 10 keer dieper dan traditionele roestomvormers. De cognackleurige heldere vloeistof vormt met de geneutraliseerde roestlaag een metaalorganische ijzerverbinding.
De zwarte zeer compacte en bestendige beschermende laag die gevormd wordt, geeft bescherming tegen roest voor een langere tijd en is tegelijkertijd een ondergrond voor een noodzakelijk aflaklaag. Het middel is uitstekend geschikt om roest op machines, voertuigen en andere ijzeren objecten om te vormen. Dankzij de zeer hoge penetratie in de roest en de goede filmvorming (geen kwaststrepen) verzekert het een efficiënte en gemakkelijke verdere bewerking.

Verwijder los roest, vet, vuil, en verroeste verfresten met een staalborstel, slijptol of schuurpapier en daarna goed ontvetten. Breng Brunox® Epoxy in 2 à 3 lagen op de resterende poreuze roest aan met een penseel, roller, luchtspuit of met de CFK-vrije Brunox® Epoxy spuitbus. Om voldoende laagdikte te verkrijgen, is het advies om minimaal met de kwast 3 lagen en met spuitbus of airgun 4 lagen aan te brengen. Niet bruikbaar bij een temperatuur lager dan 10 °C. Op blank metaal wordt de kleur niet zwart, zoals bij roest wel gebeurd.

Brunox® Epoxy is zeer geschikt voor dompelen en uitgieten van holle voorwerpen.
Na de behandeling moet een afdeklaag aangebracht worden, bijvoorbeeld een laklaag.
